We've been visiting "Chiles Peach Orchard" during peak season for years now.
These are yellow stone peaches.
There are a variety of pick-your-own styles...
Some of the kids are hoisted up into the trees by their dad...
the little guy spotted a ladder...
...and my oldest, well she's tall enough to reach pretty high into those fruit laden branches and pick quite a few without breaking a sweat.
Yes. All these photo's have different filters applied in photoshop. The sun shining through the trees was beautiful at certain angles but for the most part created a LOT of crazy shadows. So I tried several filters to make them easier to look at.
Chiles Peach Orchard located just outside of Charlottesville, VA is so vast. We enjoy visiting every year. It's a great family activity, a short road trip and we get a lot of juicy, ripe peaches. We turn them into peach butter, peach cobbler and love eating them fresh.
Doughnut Peaches are a bit sweeter but they don't keep as long as the Yellow Stone variety.
I'm not sure why she was upset. I think it was because her brother got lifted into the tree to pick a peach before her.
Thanks for stopping by.
